Scotney Castle is an English country house with formal gardens south-east of Lamberhurst in the valley of the River Bewl in Kent, England. It belongs to the National Trust.
A medieval moated manor house on a small island, surrounded by a celebrated picturesque garden. The old castle dates to the 14th century; a new house was built above it in 1835-1843. The gardens, a SSSI, feature rhododendrons, azaleas, and spectacular autumn colour. National Trust.
