Aydon Castle, previously sometimes called Aydon Hall, is a fortified manor house at Aydon near to the town of Corbridge, Northumberland, England. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, and is designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.
Purchased by Hugh de Raymes, a Suffolk merchant, between 1293 and 1295. Originally built as an undefended manor house, it was hastily fortified during the Scottish Wars of Independence. One of the best-preserved examples of a 13th-century English manor house. Grade I listed, managed by English Heritage near Corbridge.
